Send&Care    Patients    Healthcare    Donation    System     SNC

Every year, more than 13 million children under five die of diseases that could have been prevented or treated. In many countries, people do not have social security coverage. In other emerging countries, existing social security coverage is not available to everyone. These people cannot access health care, which is still beyond their means. Some have to save for years before they can go to a doctor or specialist. Currently, more than one third of the world’s population does not have access to medicines essential to their health and survival because of high prices. In 2030, around 5 billion people will not have access to health care.

According to the WHO, one in ten of the world’s medicines is either counterfeit or expired. For some continents like Africa this figure rises to 7 out of 10. “At least 100,000 people die each year in Africa because of fake drugs” according to the WHO. “The business of counterfeit medicines comes at the top of illicit trafficking,” says Geoffroy Bessaud, director of anti-counterfeiting coordination for the French pharmaceutical group Sanofi. “It even makes more than cannabis trafficking,” according to the World Economic Forum. Counterfeits cause a lot of deaths, coupled with a huge financial loss for the legal healthcare systems of these countries.

Transfer fees, including for medical care, average 8.6%. For a continent like Africa with a very strong growing demand for medical funds these costs can rise up to 20%. This is an aberration for us when the lives of people are at stake.

Send&Care is the first healthcare financing and improvement platform that enables supporters around the world to cover all or part of the medical costs of those in need. All this while having full control over the quality of the treatment, and the spending of their money.

Blockchain technology allows full transparency of any amount for medical purposes passing through the system. By using its own crypto currency, the S&C, as a payment method, Send&Care reduces transfer fees to 5% on average.

  1. Send & Care consists of a digital platform that includes a phone app, a website and a network of healthcare professionals enabling human and financial interaction between each: the supporter, the patient, the caregiver partner and the pharmacist partner.

  2. Send & Care is the first system that simply and concretely makes a huge difference to the health of people living in developing countries.

  3. Our system makes it possible to effectively fight the black market of medicines and its collateral damage.

  4. Send & Care is the only system that allows members and supporters to have full control and traceability of the money they send.

  5. Send & Care allows supporters to have a direct and concrete feedback on the benefits of their donations.

  6. Send & Care thanks to its cryptocurrency the S&C takes on average only 5% in fees. The world average is 8.6% and for a continent in great demand like Africa, fees can go up to 20%.

  7. Using Send & Care is doubly helpful to others because 1% of the 5% transfer fee is directly used to fund projects to improve health in poorer countries.

  8. Our platform enables safer and faster patient care in poor countries thanks to its integrated patient management system.
  1. We are in the health industry!

“Up to five billion people will still lack access to health care in 2030 – the target year world leaders have set for achieving universal health coverage. Most of the people who do not have access to health care are poor and disadvantaged. “

    Source: WHO 2019

“If we are serious about achieving universal health coverage and improving the lives of people, we really need to focus on primary health care. This means providing essential health services, such as immunizations, antenatal care and healthy lifestyle counseling as close as possible to where people live – and ensuring that users do not have to. not to pay for the care themselves”

Source: Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of WHO

We are in the money transfer industry!

According to the World Bank, banks are the most expensive channel for sending money, with fees averaging 10.9%. Post offices follow (8.6%), companies such as Western Union (8.6%) and finally mobile telephone operators (2.8%). It is most expensive to send money to Africa. In 2019, remittances from the diaspora around the world reached a record $ 548 billion, of which $ 44 billion went to Africa. It was more than foreign investment ($ 534 billion) and much more than official development assistance ($ 166 billion).

We are in the charitable sector!

Switzerland: CHF 1.85 billion in donations in 2017

    Europe: 24.4 billion

The Send&Care platform will be officially launched in the first half of 2022.

Together, we can bring better health to the poorest people around the world. Our platform will change the face of health in the world and enable more people to have access to safe healthcare, have a digital medical record and benefit from safe medical follow-up. We want our cryptocurrency and platform to become the global standard for remote healthcare and payment. Blockchain technology allows full transparency of any amount for medical purposes passing through the system.

Fight against trafficking

Send & Care can justify making a definite contribution to the fight against drug trafficking. In fact, by paying the cost of drugs, you send patients to approved and legalized pharmacies. As a support person, you can contact the person you are supporting and initiate a dialogue. You can also close it at any time.

Send & Care, based in Switzerland, is the association of several energies and several skills, in Switzerland as well as in Europe and Africa. An economist, a specialist in business development, a doctor of science in pharma, lawyers, European and African practitioners, specialists in computer science and new technologies… And above all the desire to advance medical care in developing countries. development. All this supported by companies aware of the importance of our approach such as:

Send & Care is it really useful to help my relatives back home?

Yes, it is very useful. Our many breadwinners regularly tell us about the difficulties encountered because of the incessant demands for money on the pretext of the health of a loved one. They sent large amounts of money, not knowing how much was really needed, which health facility was going to be consulted and what medical follow-up was needed. By using our app, you will be sure of the reality of your relative’s illness, sure of the care facility, sure of the proper care, sure of the correct and certified medication as well as the follow-up of your supported family member, and, moreover, that the sum committed corresponds to the normal prices charged by medical establishments.

A reserve for medication is planned. If the patient only needs medication, the exact price of the product appears.

How do I register my relatives who have stayed in the country?

There are two solutions: 1. Register them yourself and give them the credentials. They can then complete the necessary health questionnaire. 2. Get them registered on our free app.

FAQ Patients

Our patients have registered on our application in order to be able to benefit from care to which they would not have access due to lack of means. You have access to their identity, to the healthcare establishment to which they are affiliated, to the succinct pathology with which they are afflicted and at the cost of medical action. Some patients requiring urgent and expensive intervention have been registered by the doctors themselves in order to collect the amount necessary for their recovery.

They need you

According to the World Bank: “Poverty remains very widespread in the DRC: the country ranks third in the world for the number of poor people and the situation has worsened further following the COVID-19 pandemic. It is estimated that 73% of its population, or 60 million people, lived on less than $ 1.90 per day in 2018 (a level set as the international poverty line). Thus, nearly one in six people living in extreme poverty in sub-Saharan Africa lives in the DRC. ”

According to the UNDP (United Nations Development Program) “A person lives in general poverty if they do not have sufficient income to meet their basic non-food needs – such as clothing, energy and shelter – and food. “. “Human poverty”, on the other hand, is presented as the “lack of basic human capacities: illiteracy, malnutrition, reduced longevity, poor maternal health, preventable disease”

Yes, the medical file is confidential. It is part of the patient’s profile, can be consulted at any time and can only be made available to a practitioner by the patient himself.

As a support person, you have already funded a person’s care. A notification arrives letting you know it needs funding again. It will certainly happen. Either because you have financed a general practitioner consultation and the medical follow-up requires treatment involving several check-ups, or the patient needs to see a specialist, or the patient who has already recovered is sick again. It is your goodwill to continue to take care of this patient. To reassure you, it is not possible to make a personal profit using our system because the money used is only directed to certified healthcare facilities and not to the patient.

Yes you can! A built-in chat function can be activated by you, support, only. You can turn it off at any time.

FAQ Healthcare establishments

We have carefully chosen the healthcare establishments and partner pharmacies. We have checked their legitimacy, their authorizations and their structures. Our Send & Care staff in each country ensure that our medical and pharmacist partners are all registered with their order and are approved by their government. Mandatory condition to appear in our lists. If a breach becomes known, we will immediately remove the recognized practitioner from our lists.

It depends on the healthcare facility. Some are public hospitals, others are semi-private or private clinics. In some countries, public hospitals, in small numbers, are not represented everywhere or are generally overcrowded. The use of clinics is absolutely necessary. Price variation is normal. On the other hand, the consultation price indicated at the time of the assumption of responsibility is the one that you will finance.

Yes it’s possible ! And in a gentle way, without denouncing or arrest. The simple fact of financing withdrawable drugs only from approved pharmacies obliges the patient to use only reliable products of good origin. Over time, this will prevent feeding unofficial dealers and trafficking gangs. The market for counterfeits will slowly decline or even die out over time.

FAQ Your donations

Send & Care collects a 5% charge on each funding which will automatically be added to the amount of the donation sent.

1% of these charges will be used for multiple aid in the field of health in poor countries. (eg: help to NGOs working in non-medical areas)

You will receive a notification indicating that the patient chosen, either by you or by Send & Care according to your decision, has consulted the practitioner linked to his profile. If in doubt, you can contact the chosen patient by chat.
